Sly Hands : Mr International Rubber 2012

Here’s a tasty little viral advert from Regulation starring my friend Mark a fellow westcountry boy! We met at Folsom Europe last year and hung the whole weekend, he’s a good guy, I’m a big fan (and if you’re a Farmer I’m sure he’ll be a fan of you too). But back to the video, great simple visuals, well lit and the rubber is looking very slick indeed! You grammar geeks might have to bite your tongue when you see the word ‘Strech’ but I’m sure you’ll let it slide when you see them wrestle it out.

So it’s about time for me to give you a little taste of some more of my work and here’s a really old set that I dug out of my good friend Grant, photos dating from 2009 and 2010! He can gear up as much as he wants but he’s still such a cutie! What do you think?

Fetish Week London is nearly upon us once more so it’s time to get planning your kinky week in the capital with the official guide. Well since they call wednesday “Hump Day” in the US what better to get you through the day than this very humpable pig! A fellow Manchester boy and looking very lickable in rubber!
This shot was taken as part of an old recon campaign from a few years back now as part of their video ads they did made by the very talented Marco Puig who I had the honour of working with on a Sugababes video shoot for “No can do”. Oink. Love it!

It’s hard to believe it’s been three years since I came back from MIR in Chicago, inspired by the Chicago Rubbermen‘s community spirit and passion for sharing their fun, open rubbery ways with the world. It was that weekend that inspired me to set up something locally and the Manchester Rubbermen was born as a brother club! So this Saturday the Eagle’s new fetish night Deviant will play host to us Rubbermen. Besides the usual drinking and music and cruising we’ll have some of our rubbery toys for people to get involved in, a sleepsack, a gimpsuit and a straight jacket and a special treat for those that get there early (this treat is limited to first come first served!). So if you’re in Manchester this weekend get on your slickest gear (then lend a friend some) and get down to celebrate with us! Looking forward to it! Oink. And don’t forget Alert is on the friday too!

Now one of first rubber memories ever goes back to making some rubber gear for myself, granted it involved stapling a big red piece of balloon latex into some crude breifs, but it was a start, and I’ve patched many a rubber suit up myself but it’s taken me this long to have finally made some wearable rubber gear thanks to the boys at Latex101 I was invited to go up and spend the week in Scotland being a helping hand so who am I to turn down an adventure? I’d never been before and one of my best mates Rhuri was off to a wedding at the end of the week and it all tied in perfectly, so we’d planned a road trip after my work was done! I’ve known the Latex101 boys Richard and Stewart for years now, I did some photos and flyers and they made my amazing custom superboy gear that I first wore to MIR back in 2008. I’ve had so much gear through them and I can safely say they’re right up there for comfort, fit and longevity. Now I’m quite easily pleased at the best of times so it was so exciting to actually see Stewart hard at work making various bits of gear in all shapes and colours. I was given the slightly more menial task of making rubber bags and embellishing goggles with spikes and studs but hey a boy has to start somewhere and it’s still rubber gear! I even got to work away happy as larry in my full suit and chastity so what isn’t to love! There’s something about seeing gear coming together knowing that bit of gear is going to give someone some wild times, it might even be their first bit of rubber that they will always remember and cherish in years to come with fond memories of fun times had and events full of new and old friends. Maybe I’m drifting off a little but none the less, that feeling of crafting a piece of fetish was quite powerful. I obviously didn’t do too bad a job as I’ve been asked back up so who knows maybe next time maybe I’ll get to work on the real clothing? I can see my dream of making a rubber power rangers outfit edging ever closer as I type… now how did my hand end up down there?

So in 2009 a certain little film by the name of Gamer slipped under the radar, I remember seeing trailers and though “ah maybe”, but I can’t say I know many people that have seen it. It was a sort of Surrogates meets Running Man kind of film. Didn’t get the greatest reviews but there is one little scene that is definitely worth paying attention to. For those fans of Heroes, you’ll know the gorgeous Peter Petrelli played by Milo Ventimiglia, well he has a little cameo in Gamer as a creepy online pervert, and yet again he saves the day (and the film) purely because, wait for it…. he’s in rubber!!! Even if the scene is kooky in every sense, I defy you to not get a little bit hot under your rubber collar! What do you think boys? The gorgeous gear (that fits him VERY well might I add) is from Rubbellion based in LA. Yes please!

February saw a new night rise up from the ashes of what was once Hellbent into a mighty pheonix, well an Eagle actually. Manchester’s newest men only bar the Eagle has been known for it’s style and it’s crowd since it opened just under 2 years ago. It brought the men’s men crowd back into the village and has been a roaring success since.

The “Black Eagle” bar at the back always had a darker cruisey feel and hosted Hellbent for a while but wether it was a bad time of month or the venue size it closed it’s doors at the end of last year and the boys have been slaving away refitting and changing up the place since. Borrowing some space from the main eagle bar that weren’t being used, moving the bar into the centre, losing the stage area and repositioning the main doors has instantly given the whole place a very welcome Berlin feel to the place, with lots of nooks and crannies all over the place that weren’t there before. I love the new look and it’s so so much better for a cruisey dress code night. And with the new night being the night after Alert, it means folks from out of town can come for the weekend and make two kink nights in a row!

So to celebrate Deviant’s grand opening I got my old friends Kilker (Mr Rubber UK) and Inuki (Mr Rubber UK) up to flash the sash, and with their predecessors both there and my MIR sash, it really was like being on the continent, with titles galore, something very new for the UK. The night itself was great fun, even with me being practically sober (it had been a heavy night the night before in Alert!) everyone chatting and laughing (and groping) which is why I love Manchester, such a friendly scene. Not that I’m biassed or anything but I can safely say rubber was the winner of the night with more slick boys than leather, which of course warms my rubber socks! I also had the infamous Matt over from Vienna, and my local home boys Martin and Tolu staying too so was a right little crowd. Waking up to breakfast cooked by the gang more than made up for the lack of clean towels!

Looking forward to Deviant again this month and then in April we’ll be celebrating the 3rd Birthday of the Manchester Rubbermen at Deviant! Well done to everyone at the Eagle for their hard work!

Can’t wait to get along to this event in Amsterdam next weekend. Been invited by the lovely Tony (Mr Rubber Netherlands 2012). Will be my first time exploring the beautiful Amsterdam, a very famous city for it’s old kink scene, it was once the kinky capital before Berlin took over that mantle. Also being hosted by the very woofy Arnaud so can’t wait to get out and do some geeky tourism ; )

So I’ve decided it’s about time instead of showing you hotties I’ve found online to tell you guys a little bit more about my work! One of my bread winning ventures is my Visual Art, a bit of photography and a bit of design.
